Bangalore Rural District with Eight
(8) taluks came into being on 15th August 1986 with the
division of Bangalore District into Bangalore Rural and bangalore
(Urban). Further, Bangalore Rural Distict is divided into two
Districts, the new Bangalore Rural district comprising of Four (4) Blocks Viz,
Devanahally, Doddaballapur, Hosakote, Nelamangala with effect from 15th
